Designer Gene Kagan began playing with fabrics at the tender age of 12, crafting his first dress out of his mother’s drapes. Born and raised in Latvia, Gene moved to Los Angeles during his teenage years and later went on to study at L.A.’s Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising.
